Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Dutch (Netherlands), Mandarin, Japanese, American English are
great for my ears.
My native language (Russian) is one of the most flexible languages (the word order etc.),
thus in Germanic languages find I what I lack for in Russian... the perfect structure. All
Germanic languages are indeed perfectly structured for me and I don't know how to explain
that. It's like listening to early polyphony or old organ music.
))) My ideal language is Swedish written in Hangul. Or, perhaps, Dutch in Chinese
characters.

Spoken: French and Mandarin.
Written: Greece and Arabic (different alphabet)
But generally speaking, I like all.
Btw, I´ve seen many of you writing that Czech sounds good. I think its the only one language without any accent or euphony :D

In general all archaic languages and medieval languages.
Compare medieval French, German, English with modern French, modern German and modern English. The modern languages sound so mechanical and facile while the older versions of those languages sounds much better...the intonation is completly different...more euphonic, fine-sounding and poetic. It's a shame that all modern European languages got so much flattened out.
And for all English speakers who think German is a harsh language, this is not true...German can also be very emotional language, for example:

In my opinion, Polish is the most beautiful language when spoken. Spanish, Welsh, French, and Arabic are
beautiful, too.
As far as languages being sung, I think that Latin is absolutely gorgeous. I admire it even more now that I can
finally understand the lyrics! :)
For me, Greek is the most beautiful language when written, with Korean and Thai taking second and third
place.

Dutch is much harsher-sounding than German.

Is there a reason for two identical topics?
Most beautiful languages? (2005 14 February)
