I'm totally digging the fact that there are a bunch of people focusing on Norwegian this
year. Lots of good log reading.

On an unrelated note, it seems like this year has a lot more TAC log activity in general
- a good thing!

Do you have any other music recommendations? So many Norwegian musicians choose to sing
in English I have a hard time finding songs.

This wasn't aimed at me, but...

A few that sing in Norwegian:
- *Kaizers Orchestra (No idea what genre; Jæren-dialect)
- *Kråkesølv (soft-rock; Bodø-dialect)
- DDE (country-tock-ish; Trøndersk)
- Sie Gubba (country-rock; Trøndersk)
- *Plumbo (Pop-rock; some eastern dialect)
- Dumdum Boys (cheesy 80's rock...)

And loads of others, I don't really know the Norwegian music scene that well..

(*I personally recommend these)

Another artist I like is Kari Bremnes. Her lyrics are clear, if not a bit on the
esoteric side.

I picked this one for a reason; the lyrics are quite easy to follow so after 3-4 weeks
of studying I was able to understand it. I recommend it to people who have already
started learning Norwegian.

regards! :)

I know quite a lot of the songs that you can actually use for studying Norwegian :) I found songs of
Aleksander Rybak interesting though he also sings in English. Also I enjoy Raske Men a lot. Here's a link to
one song ( It's with Norwegian subtitles)

Later I'll try to post more materials that may come in handy:)

I recognise Raske Men from I kveld med Ylvis.

It is interesting that quite a lot of people started learning Norwegian. I myself flirted with the thought of learning it for about 10 years. Of all the scandinavian languages Norwegian always appealed to me the most, for no apparent reason really. I finally decided to act on it. I won't be pushing myself much, I want this language to stay a hobby. If it works out, it was meant to be ;).
