That Raske Menn song is actually in Danish (for some reason...)

Oh, I did 2 or 3 lessons from prof Łęcki's book in December. Now I've been studying with Assimil for a week so it's still pretty fresh. It's hard to say really. I hope I can keep up the motivation. How about you? You've been learning for over 3 months now, right? Can you understand a lot from reading or listening?

I've been learning Norwegian for about 4 months and it's going pretty good. I started with ESSk (or something like that, I don't remember the name of this course)and I covered about 15 lessons that gave me basics so to speak. Later on I switched to Pa Vei and I'm really satisfied with the book. Few days ago I started the second part of this book which is aimed at B1 level ;) Of course, I don't understand everything for instance while watching TV or listening to clips on you tube but I can grasp certain words and that's making me happy ;) However, now I'm in the middle of examination at my university so I'll have a little break from Norwegian. Anyhow, I have to achieve B2 level at the and of June or July at latest.
Stifa, thanks for information! I didn't realize the fact that song is in Danish but I heard a few words that had a different pronunciation, for example 'kjaereste'? Am I correct? Or the pronunciation of the word 'prosent'? 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||

In Danish, it is "kæreste", and we Norwegians like to joke about Danish sounding like
they've got a potato stuck in their throuts - that should explin the differences in pronunciation. :p 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||

B2 test of Norwegian is known as Bergenstesten
and it can be taken in either Bokmaal or Nynorsk. The complete name is Test i norsk-høyere nivå /Test i norsk-høgare nivå . It's called Bergenstesten, informally, because: 1. it was developed @ Bergen university 2. 50% of listening material features the Bergen dialect/accent (and 50% of listening material is Standard East Norwegian accent/Bokmaal).
