Hi Riff! You said on my log that you were going crazy just trying to learn one language. Considering that it's Russian I completely understand! I think it's really cool that you're going to memorize some poetry. I did that in French and it was one of the best things I ever did, though I hardly remember them any more. You might have inspired me to add that to my goals. I would love to know which poems you choose, when you do.
Good luck!

A long overdue update. I've been having a blast reading bilingual versions of Harry
Potter and so far I've made it through books 2 and 3 for a total word count of 180K
(178,821 to be exact). I think I mentioned before that I'm reading these on my kindle and
it's basically a paragraph of English followed by a paragraph of Russian. I can follow
things pretty well, but occasionally I'll get a long paragraph that throws me for a loop
(actually, I don't loop, I just plow straight through, understanding or not). I feel like
I'm making progress with the bilingual readers and it doesn't feel like a chore, so I am
prioritizing them above more intensive studies for now.
I don't have the time to be an active TAC2013 member, but I'm continuing my Russian
studies and expect to do so for the rest of the year and shall post infrequent updates.

Hey, I know you don't have much time, but it would be great to read from you again soon, anyway. I hope your Russian is making progress.
Успехов!
