I ran across a book and cassette series on the Persian language prepared under the auspices of the FSI, and I decided to post them here in case anyone may be interested.
"Spoken Persian" Obolensky, Panah, Nouri; Spoken Language Services, Inc. (1973) and a 5 cassette Persian Listening Series, also by Obolensky, et. al, Spoken Language (1973). I found them at my local library a and I live in a medium-large U.S. city. I have not listened to the cassettes yet since I will have to track down an old "boom box" in my house somewhere to even find a cassette player. Most of the Spoken Language Services series is copyrighted! It is not FSI copyright free. They do have a few not copyrighted. Be sure before you post it.

I think most of the SLS series is copyrighted, but the Persian one is, in fact, the FSI Persian Basic Course re-branded as an SLS course. The text has been available online (ERIC) for some time now, but it would be great to have access to the recordings! 1 person has voted this message useful | |||
