Is there a way to change a tag once you've already submitted it? I'd
like to change "Schritte" to "Schritte1_Arbeitsbuch" but it's ok if I can't. |

Judith,
I'm not sure how the twitter side of the challenge works but if it is automated have you considered opening a separate version for people to track all hours for any language? In other words, if someone could set up a user account to log in and see status online we could actually track by person by language by day how much time is spent studying. That would be a pretty phenomenal way to track progress automatically. A lot of us have a spreadsheet, notebook, or some other way of tracking but having an automated system to do it would be awesome.

I signed up for my first challenge! Spanish. I'm currently somewhere around A2, I think,
after nine weeks of study. My weekly tutor puts my fluency at a B1, but my knowledge of
verb tenses much lower than that. So I have to do some catch-up work in grammar.

People have suggested an eternal challenge before, which I want to avoid because it
encourages burn-out. 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off gives people more incentive to study hard.
I could create a similar site just for tracking personal hours, without the highscore
bit. It would require significant work though because people wouldn't have a single
target language anymore, wouldn't divide hours into target & "rest", would need to set
up a new app with a new Twitter bot and so on. I'm not sure there's enough interest to
make it worthwhile.
