I doubt you'll need Pimsleur after completing all of Platiquemos! Pimsleur is a far cry in terms of words learnt and achieved fluency compared to Platiquemos.

Pimsleur can only be useful for starting with the language. It is a nice introduction which will teach you pronunciation and some basic grammar. To me it was useful because it has made Platiquemos easier to start with. However, I wonder how things would have been if I had simply started with Plati right away. Learning Pimsleur took me 5 months....! Ah well, my pronunciation is alright at least ;) But indeed: once you have finished Platiquemos there is no need to learn Pimsleur because then you are fluent already. Then it would perhaps be nice to study Assimil for learning more words(?)

Barrons has come out with FSI Spanish level 2 on CD. I haven't seen the book to see if they re-typeset it. Barrons also has French FSI level 2 out on CD.
