For science:
La tête au carré
Sur les épaules de Darwin

Culture...that depends on what you mean exactly. I enjoy these two:
La marche de l'histoire (history)
Service public ("hot" topics of public debate, sociology, psychology)

Une bonne année et bonne santé aussi de ma part!
La bonne santé s'adressé surtout à tastyonions et renaissancemedi!
Prompt rétablissement !

Edit: Little correction after a quick glance at my dictionnary :-)

Is there anyway of getting forum subscription notifications once a day in a single email rather than getting one for every post in every subscribed thread? I'm watching everyone's logs but it does produce a spammy number of email notifications.

I fear how subscriptions are handled depends on the script used to run the forum. I'm a mod on a forum that runs with phpBB and I always get one email per thread, no matter how many replies that thread got since I last viewed yet.

I haven't subscribed to any of my team mates' logs yet, but I foresee receiving tons of emails everyday given the number of teams I'm in :/

Depending on your email, you can have all your HTLAL stuff filtered into a specific folder, then sort by subject. It's still a lot of mail, but it's more manageable that way (for me, anyways).
