I'd definitely join the advanced team if there's a split.

A split might be a good idea ... I can't imagine keeping up with that many logs!
I like having a variety of levels in the group, though. Instead of splitting into
beginners / intermediate, maybe we can look at other groupings?
Perhaps:
French-based logs / English-based logs
Single-language students / Wanderlusters
Challenge-oriented (TAC, Tadoku, or Super) / Casual
Or we could even look at setting up smaller break-away teams. e.g., Most of my French
this year is going to be through novels and graphic novels ... I would totally be
interested in a smaller French 'book club' TAC. There might be other sub-groups of
cinephiles, Assimil-lovers, &c.

I'm thinking out loud here; these aren't ideas I've really thought through.

I'm not even in this team but i randomly clicked on your thread and saw kanewai's idea. I think it's a great one! I'd
actually be interested in a french book club TAC too (even though i wasn't planning to join a team for french), and
the other ideas sound good as well. Teams based on theme... the future of the TAC.

Another option is to keep Team Triomphe with the 30 members initially set. Those above the 30 wanting to
be part of a TAC team could create a new team. Any Triomphe members could then voluntarily join the other
team if desired. I like having a variety of levels, learning methods, etc. on the team. I learn from the different
points of view and experiences.

I would be fine with that, but we would need someone with experience in TACs to join
partie deux (Edit: or "Deuxieme Triomphe").

Hm, and the second team would then consist of, let's say, five members, shrinking to two by the end of the year?
I think that splitting the team in two equally big teams would be the best solution for everyone. With my enormous 10-day experience with a TAC I guess that a team, consisting of 15-20 members first, and then shrinking to a 5-10 member team by December, would still function, having fun and benefiting from the TAC?

Just stopping in to say that if you do create another team, I'd join it. Missed the boat
on TAC team signups but I'm a beginner in French.
