Кристиано in Cyrillic, I think. I fixed 2nd sentence using a reflexive verb, because it was looking like you were intended to use it. However, it's easier and more common to hear constructions without it: Я живу в Бразилии и учу русский [язык]. Does anyone know how to change the name of your log?
I was accepted into a great university unexpectedly, and will be a little busy moving and stuff but I will try and post. I will be definitely majoring in Russian, so this works out perfect, I'm pretty happy. When did everyone want to organize a Skype meeting? @Via Diva: Thanks! If you don't mind, could you explain something? I didn't understand when should I use учиться or изучать or учать. изучать is the perfective form? Cristianoo, I can't recall all the causes of using reflexive verbs and I think textbooks should have some explanations about it. I can give some examples though:
Тебе нужно учиться! - imperative, "You should study". Don't mix up with Тебе нужно учить! which would be not clear enough and can also be understood as "You should teach". Учиться - это хорошо. - Studying is good. You can say Учить - это хорошо, but it also wouldn't be very clear. "учать" is wrong, you meant "учить". Изучать is imperfective (что делать?), изучить (что сделать?) - perfective. If you want to say that you're studying something, you can use both reflexive and usual verb, but you should do it differently: Я учу язык - Я учусь языку - and, I must say, we don't use reflexive verbs like this often. I think that reflexive verbs is more appropriate in sentences like "I learn to write" - Я учусь писать. 2 persons have voted this message useful |
