Hi guys,
it's Josquin! I was forced to create a new account, because the old one was disabled in the course of HTLAL's Crimean crisis, which took place in this very thread. As you can see, I'm a total newbie again, so I hope Cristina can stay in charge of the team until I'm a full member again. Unfortunately, we once again face the problem that no one can edit the first post of this thread, but I suppose we'll have to live with that. I decided to have a go at this month' s challenge: writing about a Russian film.
So I decided to take something easy and went for 'War and peace' :-) Война и мир Не так давно я видела фильм ' Война и мир'. Этот фильм по книге Льва Толстого, снятый директором Сергеем Бондарчуком. Это истории пяти семей (Болконские, Безуков, Курагин, Ростов, Кутузов) и тоже история России в1805-1812 годы. Сначала мы видим хорошую жизнь этих людей. Они танцуют, любят и говорят по- французски так как делали богатые люди того времени в России. Наташа Ростова и Андрей Болконский любят друг друга но когда Болконски уезжает за границу Наташа влюбляется в Анатолия Курагина, и обручение с Волконским заканчивается. Потом начинается воина, и Андрей Болконски погибает и жизнь становится трудной для всех . Пиерре Безухов пытается убить Наполеона, но не преуспевает и его арестовывают. В конце концов Наташа и Пиерре женятся. И в конце фильма они говорят больше по- русски. По-моему это очень хороший фильм, и я рекомендую вам его посмотреть . 3 persons have voted this message useful | |||

Good job Cristina. I hope to see that film sometime this year.
Has anybody explored the archive of Soviet films which are freely available to watch on Mosfilm.ru, Youtube, or various tablet apps? If anyone is interested, I could write a summary post about what's out there and what's worth watching. I can't get the Flash player on Mosfilm to work yet, but I think they have Война и Мир. 3 persons have voted this message useful | |||

@Mark: Thank you, it is very kind of you to say that :-) I get very frustrated because my vocabulary is so
restricted, that I cannot write with eloquence, like I would like to. I fear that it will take decades before I could do that. @chokofingrz: Yes, that would be very useful! @Everyone: you still have a few days left to do the challenge- let us see how many who can complete it. Ирония судьбы 2. Что можно сказать про фильм? Мне не очень понравился. А первый фильм
один из любимых. Новый год в бане. Там три челока сидят и пьют. Один молодой человек не хочет, но в конце концов, пьет с ними. Молодого человекa зовет Костя. Его папа - Женя, из первого фильма. Костя напился, точно как его папа много лет тому назад, и его отправили в Питер. Там, непонятно как, он оказался в квартире одной девушки. Ее зовут Надя. Она ждёт её молодого человека Иракли. Вся история о приключениях Кости в Питер. Женя тоже приехал и встречал маму Нади, она тоже Надя. Все влюбились. Женя и Надя, и Костя и Надя. Костя остался в Питере, и Иракли уехал. Надя едет в Москву вместе с Женей. So this wasn't as long as I had hoped. I've been extremely busy here in Tbilisi. I'm doing a 2 week course, and I've had 40 assignments so far. This is just to say that Josquin/Lassus is back, by the unanimous decision of the moderators.
While I'm here, I would like to take a few minutes to remind everybody of the forum rules. HTLAL is not an "anything goes" forum; we all agreed to certain forum rules when we signed up. The goal of these rules is to prevent fights between members. - Politics are off limits. This applies especially to the situation in Crimea. - Trolling and harassing other members is not permitted. - If another member is causing problems, it is far better to use the "Report" button than to get into a personal argument with them. This makes sure that the moderators actually know what's going on. - The moderators do not especially like sarcasm directed at other forum members. (Sarcasm directed at lousy language-learning products, however, is OK.) Thank you. Oh, if you need to edit the first post in the thread (perhaps to include a link to another "official" team post), please let me know.
