I'd have to go with the following listed in order of preference
Russian (what I just started studying)
Spanish (probably the most practical for me to learn - definitely on my list)
Japanese
Korean
gosh, a fifth.... maybe Mandarin Chinese, German, or Italian hard to say

French - I love this language!
Mandarin - Seems a really popular choice.
Spanish - I'm at an intermediate level already, seems a shame to waste it.
As for the others, Japanese would probably be one, but I can't seem to choose a fifth.

Italian - personal favourite
French - Already advanced, why not use it?
Finnish - family is Finnish but I was never taught above a beginner level, beautiful language
Russian - one of my personal favourites
German - Somehow I ended up with a lot of German friends
I wanted to throw in Persian or Japanese for balance, but if I *did* successfully learn either of them, I don't think I would really have any way (that particularly interests me) to maintain them.

My top 5 at the moment:
1. English (I guess my English is already quite okay but of course there's always room for improvement!)
2. Russian (it has always fascinated me)
3. Spanish (probably my biggest language crush of all time because I really love the sound and structure of it)
4. Czech (fascinating language - won't be as useful as my other picks but it doesn't matter since studying languages is a hobby for me)
5. Portuguese, maybe?
