Ciao/Hallo!
Questa settimana non ho fatto una lezione tutti oggi perchè non avuto il tempo, ma
oggi ho detto qualcosa in Italiano, e ho... and that's how far my Italian goes for
now, I basically noticed that I need to my work on my
pronunciation and intonation. I have been busy, but I have tried to listen to a bit of
Italian when I have had a bit of
time and I came up with some goals after having read logs from the other teammembers.
Italiano
Main goal I hope to get to a B1 level by the end of the year.
My way of achiving it
- Trying to do a lesson of Assimil every day
- Looking up grammar and
words when chatting (hoping for some of it to stick) - Working on my
pronunciation and intonation of which both are proving a bit difficult
Current progress
Done 14 lessons of assimil
Listened to a lot of Italian music
Started chatting with Italians
I started the active phase already, but since I didn't have the time to stick to a
schuledule I am going to try to restart that process today.
In addition to that I am considering looking up words and memorising them through the
use of Quizlet (things such as the weekdays)
Deutsch
Ziel
Lernen)

So. It has been a while since my last entry.
I have been very busy, so I had to make a few pauses in my learning, however, I
try do to a lesson of assimil daily and otherwise expose myself to Italian (music, film
etc..) in addition to that I am now using another language course as well (Danish -
Italian) because I thought by using two they might overlap and one course might be able
to teach me something that the other one did not.
In German I try to read a bit as often as possible and learn a few new words/phrases and
I strive towards speaking German on a a daily basis.

So again it has been a while since my last entry.
I have done 41 lessons of assimil so far and have translated from L2 to L1 and back the
following day, moreover I try to use it a little bit everyday.
In German.
I have watched a documentary and try to read a bit every day in this German version of an
English fantasy book, which I bought and I try to passivly gain a wider vocabulary,
because I believe if I can do that my active vocabulary will automatically increase as
well.

Here we are again hello!
What's new?
Well I have done over 50 lessons of assmil and have resumed to do the active phase as
recommended by assimil and am thinking of trying to make decks out of the most tricky
words and put them into quizlet in order to learn them, in addion to that I do weekly
skype conversations with language partners in both Italian and German.
My problem right now is that my motivation is various, some days I really don't feel
like it, but I try to stick to it and still do something in the target language on
those days, like listening to music or reading a little.
I'm struggling with more free speech in Italian, which is irriating I think preparing
a bit more before a skype conversation might be useful. (Picking the vocab to
practice)

So
Italian
It's been a while again and I am still at it I've had to pause my assimil progress,
however, I am slowly, but steadily getting there tomorrow I am doing lesson 60 and I
have had several conversations in Italian, which is really satisfying and I feel that
I can answer quickly on the go or at least hint to what I mean to say!
German
I have been reading a German version of an English fantasy series, which at first
seemed hard, however, after having spent a few weeks on it I've gotten used to it and
I am looking up less and less, I know of course that this is only for expanding my
passiv vocabulary. So I am looking into ways of expanding my active vocabulary.

So

finito?
Idea(Idee?) sono benvenuto
In addition to all that above I try to listen to a bit of music every day in both
German and Italian.

Idee sono benvenute :)
Yeah I'd say just keep going. Maybe it's difficult because the material was originally intended for French speakers. Rather than learning more vocabulary explicitly, maybe it's better to do some more lessons first. There's a lot of natural spaced repetition in Assimil.
And consider reinforcing the vocab through something like lyricstraining, especially when you're not motivated to do Assimil.
