Hmm how about making a challenge about a weekly goal?

Sounds like the perfect idea to me since that exactly what I'm trying to do.

What do you think about meeting in Skype this month?

That would be nice…although I haven't spoken/written in German since I graduated from
university so if I participate you'll have to bear with me, I'm terribly out of practice!
XD

1) Fantastic. I think it's also the most motivating way to go!

2) Don't worry :D remember, Rome wasn't built in one day!

We will bear with anyone interested in what's going on :) I don't think I am gonna talk much just as well, a misanthropic introvert like me isn't a good sort of chatter, hehe.

Sorry I haven't been posting much (uni exams have a way of sapping up time). I have been
trying to keep up with everyone's logs but have fallen behind a bit.

Now I have some more time on my hands again I can catch up. :)

I've also been thinking about some summer goals that I could aim for. I'll (hopefully) be
updating my log soon once I've made up my mind.

PS: I'd probably be the quietest one on a Skype chat (my speaking skills are...erm...not
good). o.O

@Ccaesar Oh that's for sure, I think my journey to fluency will be a long one since I cannot seem to find a good way to learn lots of new words quickly!

@Via Diva, @Rem Glad to see I'm not the only shy person around here ;)

Don't worry, just do things you like in that language and it'll come!

smaller, thus making it more achieveable and also it would allow you to change your goal
if you find that what you started is too hard.

I.e.
This week I am going to try to understand the grammar behind.....
Or this week I want to learn vocab and expressions related to....
Or I want to try and listen to a podcat/watch a German film every day.

My task for this week is to catch up with the MOOC about Karl der Große which started on May 18.

I only caught up with one unit so my goal for this week is the same. I've already done one more unit, two more over the weekend :)))
Next week I'll read a little German every day. I'm setting the minimal at 3 pages as I'm also doing Tadoku in other languages.

(speaking of which, Tadoku is a great indication of progress. two years ago I signed up for what I called a masochistic Tadoku with German as my strongest language, and also Swedish and Dutch which I practically didn't read. Now I've caught myself signing up with the same German+Swedish combination and getting carried away with German reading. In August I'll do Tadoku with Swedish and Belarusian, and probably something else)

I managed to almost fully complete my first week challenge my 2nd one is a bit lower as I
have less time I aim towards finishing 5 Assimil lessons in Assimil and reading a bit in
German every day (newspapers and a book I've got)
