My goals for 2007...
Hungarian: - I'd like to finish FSI + FSI Basic courses along with Assimil. I think that combined with chatting, reading and writing in Hungarian should have me well on my way to relative fluency by December 2008.
French: - Another goal for some time this year is to get the basics down in French. This should be relatively easy (just a review) as I studied French for over 6 years at school. I'm not aiming for anything more than to be able to 'survive' at this stage. Perhaps next year, depending on how my Hungarian studies are going, I may set a higher goal - but at this stage I am not inclined to get too much more down than the basics.
German: - I would like to start studying German from about April/May onwards. I have more inclination to learn this more thoroughly than French, but again, the goal is to have a 'survival' ability in the language.
Those are my goals for 2007 (which may change depending on how everything goes! LOL), 2008 will be working as much as I can on my Hungarian (I will spend 7 weeks at the end of the year with a family who speak absolutely no English whatsoever. I want to be able to comfortably converse with them), and building a little more on the German and French, as well as introducing Italian or Spanish (undecided at this stage).

Sounds like everyone is going to be very busy in 2007. :)
My languages goals for 2007 are :
Spanish - Weed out all the regionalisms/incorrect words from my vocabulary and try to bring my written Spanish to a higher level (I've neglected it since I finished school). I'd also like to focus on 'business Spanish' (including business correspondance) as I would like to be able to use the language at work. I'd like a job in travel/tourism so this is a subject area I would like to specialise in. I also plan to read a lot more Spanish-language books (non-fiction and novels) as I think my vocabulary still needs some improvement and this is one of the few ways I get to use my Spanish these days. Basically, I want to shake off the Andalucian influence and try to sound more like a real native speaker!
Dutch - I'll carry on battling my way to fluency in Dutch and maybe take a formal course if absolutely necessary. I plan to spend some time each day working on the language and push my conversation skills past low-intermediate. My written Dutch also needs a bit of work and I plan to expand my vocabulary through reading and listening.
Italian - This is a low priority language (it's mostly just for fun) but I hope to master basic Italian in the next 12 months. I have a lot of learning materials at hand and have begun reading through Italian magazines as a way of boosting my reading comprehension (which is thankfully not *too* hard thanks to my fluency in Spanish). I don't know whether I will be going to Italy in 2007 but I will make sure I also work on my listening and conversational skills anyway.
Japanese - I don't know if I will have enough free time left to continue working on my Japanese but I would like to push my Japanese beyond the basics and maybe even tackle JLPT 4 next December (assuming I have the time to fly over to the UK to do it as they don't offer the exams here in the Netherlands). I will concentrate mostly on the spoken language but will devote some time to perfecting my writing and reading skills.
French - I might try and brush up on my long-neglected French if I have the time and reason to do so. I always read some French news articles every week out of personal enjoyment but I haven't really worked on my writing, listening or speaking skills in years and I find it very hard to construct even basic sentences any more. I'm not sure whether I'd be better off investing this time in Italian or even Japanese as I find these more interesting and easier (!) to work on but it's hard to deny that French is a useful language to know, especially within Europe. I find that working on French interferes a lot with my Spanish and Italian so I might just stick to what I'm doing now (reading French texts whenever I feel like it) so I may or may not pick it up again. I'll see how things go...

I'd like to get to basic fluency in Spanish by the end of 2007. I work with a lot of native Spanish-speakers, so once I'm able to easily converse with them on a basic level, I think I'll be able to learn by speaking with them and watching Spanish-language movies, and start actively studying Mandarin again.

French~ Next year I plan to finish of my French lessons, I have been raised around the language, I just need to practice written French.
German~ I want to master the basics in German, at first glance of written German, it looked very easy, but quickly found out its harder than it looks. I plan to stay dedicated to this language not only for the challenge, but with the motivation of a trip to Germany.

The language which will be of the outmost priority in the 2007 for me will be Modern Greek.
I want to move it from intermediate to fluent in the following year, and I will also have an opportunity to spend some time in Greece, which will hopefully help me as well in reaching my goal.
Of course, I will continue to use/study other languages as well, but Greek will be the one to occupy the most of my time.

Past habits and circumstances notwithstanding, I am getting serious with German and Italian or I am done with language learning for ever.

For Russian I'd like to reach advanced fluency, so I'll need to work hard the first half of coming up year. That means finishing the Assimil course and do A LOT of reading work and of course watching movies and listening tot audiobooks I've collected so far.
For Frisian I'd like to reach basic fluency, so that I'm able to hold simple conversations. Besides that I'd like to pick up my French again to move to intermediate fluency and maybe I'll focus on my weak German again.

1. French - completely finish French in Action and work towards advanced fluency (preferably by July).
2. Portuguese - revive it somewhat since it's lagging a bit and I might need it this for a holiday in 2007.
3. Italian - maintain this until 2008.
4. Arabic - try to finish a couple of books (this is more of a wish than a goal).
5. Catalan - continue playing with the TY and Assimil courses.
