I'm a native English speaker with the standard American accent, and am interested in finding a Japanese speaking conversation buddy. My speaking ability is awful due to never being able to practice, but I hope to change that...

Hey all! I'm a native speaker of American English who would be happy to help you practice your English in return for French or Swedish conversation, both of which I understand well but don't have much active practice these days. I should also say that I am very interested in attempting conversation with some Norwegians or Danes, but they would have to be quite patient (especially the Danes haha) because I haven't had all that much exposure to the other Scandinavian languages.
I'm quite interested in trying out my Esperanto, which I learned as a winter break project but haven't had any opportunity to use yet. My Russian is quickly developing thanks to my university classes and extra speaking practice, but I could definitely use more practice with informal conversation. There are over 200 posts in this thread, with people looking for an HTLAL Skype chat or partner. I have not read about anyone succeeding. Did anyone get any L2 chats from this thread? Or is it a "false friend" here on HTLAL?
