Sorry, I don't know that Emerald. However, I have a new link for those interested in the sound of Esperanto:
Listen to the Esperanto song at http://www.dotsub.com/films/50pliajjaroj/index.php?autostart =true&language_setting=eo_1876 . The particularity of this song compared to thousands of other Esperanto songs (a good part of which you can find online for free) is that it comes with Esperanto subtitles matching what is sung, so that you can really see the correspondence between letters and sounds.
The band, Amplifiki, pronounces Esperanto well, like most singers, and they are relatively well-known as a band, even though they broke up now and only sing solo or in other bands. One of their big hits was "Sola"(Alone), which is so well-known that there are even parodies of it. This song though, "IS", is an ode to the IS (Internacia Seminario), a New Year's party for Esperanto-speaking young people that takes place in Germany every year and typically attracts participants from about 50 countries. The atmosphere there is legendary among Esperanto speakers. The lyrics of the song are actually not all that great though, imho.
Also nice: at http://eo.mondediplo.com/ you can read the French newspaper "L e Monde Diplomatique" in Esperanto.

Thank you for this extensive collection of useful Esperanto links. It may just rekindle my diminishing interest in Esperanto.
Everyone is probably tired of my continuing refrain about the lack of news in Esperanto (as opposed to news about Esperanto). But my main language learning technique is based around reading the daily news in my target languages. The best, and really the only, daily news in Esperanto is esperanto.china.org.cn. Interesting to me, the lead story on that site today is the current visit of our Canadian prime minister to China. Unfortunately, your linked news site raporto.info seems now to be broken. The other news site in Esperanto you just mentioned "le Monde Diplomatique" is good, but I don't find it to be very interesting.
It is too bad that some of the other major broadcasters like the BBC don't provide at least some daily news in Esperanto. Has the Esperanto community ever discussed the possibility of getting permission from a major broadcaster to translate a part of its daily news into Esperanto? Not only would it be a great service to the Esperanto movement but it would provide an opportunity for "daily learning via translation" for those who might wish to volunteer to help with the translation. It would be a "cloud computing" project for the Esperanto movement, something like DuoLingo. Perhaps it would inject some much-needed dynamic life, relevance and currency into Esperanto.

From an earlier post of mine, but just to have everything in one thread (may be some duplication from previous posts):

Thanks for the link. Yes, I checked it out a year or so ago. The site looks good, but the problem is the age of the articles. The newest "current news" is four months old. Most of the recent news is nine months or so old. It looks like there are good articles but I cannot keep myself interested in news that isn't new.

Ĉu vi jam konas tiun utilan paĝon ?
http://esperanto-radio.com/
Mi nur konas la polan ĉar mi ofte aŭskultis ĝin kiam ĝi elsendis kiel oficiala
programero
de la nacia radio. Nun ili daŭrigas la aventuron memstare, sed daŭre bonas :)
(Estas aliaj kaj ankaŭ multaj videoj en la supera menuo. Vidu "plejlaste".)
Do you already know that useful page?

I only know the polish one because I often listened to it when it was broadcasted as an
official program of the national radio. Now they continue the adventure by themselves,
but are still good :)
(There are others and many videos too in the top menu. See "plejlaste" (=latest))

No. I did not! That is great. Those links are wonderful. There is current news and articles, and even parallel audio and text. I guess somehow I missed this material for a long time.
This is the best encouragement for my Esperanto learning since I have been on HTLAL.
Thank you very much.
Vi estas tre afabla. Mi tre ŝatas ĝin! Multan dankon!
