There has been much discussion about what languages that we would most like to learn. How about what language would one least want to learn and why?

Interesting idea for a thread. I would have to pick Finnish. Very difficult, limited usefullness, and let's not forget the sixteen cases.

Vietnamese. I do not like the way it sounds and in my opinion it looks terrible written with all those diacritics. The cuisine is good though!
@Cage- what language would learn last? You brought it up after all ;)

You know, this is acually a little hard to answer. I think the last language that I'd study would be a native American language because they would have very little utility, but I hear they're interesting in terms of grammar and structure. I just have so many other languages that I would think about studying first that I would never get the time.
Other than that, there are probably a lot of African and Polynesian languages that I would never have the time to get around to, and have made little to no impression on me. Oh, and Australian aboriginal languages.

Mandarin. It sounds brutal to me, I prefer an alphabet over pictographs and have little interest in Chinese culture.
Like Raincrowlee, I have little enthusiasm for learning thousands of other languages. I'm not really singling out Mandarin as I could easily replace it with some other language which doesn't inspire any enthusiasm in me. (e.g. Vietnamese, Serbian, Navaho, Spanish, Romanian, Greek, Dutch, Tuareg, Arabic, Hebrew, Amharic, Fula, Swahili, !Kung, Farsi, Russian, Laotian, Tamil, Ainu, Welsh, Georgian, Inuktitut, Malagasy etc.)
