French! It sounds so perfect. Everything seems to flow from each other. This is not the case in Italian - i feel - where letters can be quite singly pronounced.
I general consider Germanic languages - including my native of English - to be quite arrogant and bitter sounding. I would love to be able to converese fluently in a beautiful french accent. Oh well. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

i might be the single person who will say this, but for me tagalog is a beautiful language, it's just have the heart... some say it's the language of love especially if it is used in a love song, but sometimes it's not good to hear when rapped especially if it's not properly composed.. others mentioned it's the new ebonics..well, personally i don't know what ebonics is...i just read it on other forum.. I think it sounds cool from the little phrases I've heard. To me Romanian, Serbo-Croatian, Middle Eastern languages, Greek sound aesthetically pleasing. Sorry to cut in. What about the way English is spoken, anybody familiar with how the Irish accent sounds? What do you think of our accent? I would be interested to know, I’m from Ireland.

As far as written language goes, I'd say Chinese is definitely the most beautiful.
As far as spoken language goes, I think it depends on who's speaking the language. A beautiful woman can make any language sound good. Chinese? Which version? Mandarin? If so spoken by people from which area of the country?
I think every language can be elegant and nice to listen to. I enjoyed the movie Babette's feast because I love listening to Danish, Swedish and French. Well spoken Mandarin in the movies is a delight, especially if spoken by Gong Li. Obviously French and Italian are beautiful, Spanish from Spain a little harsh but strong and forceful, I love it. Laurence Olivier English is great. I love listening to my audio books in Swedish read by Stefan Kalsen. Hermann Lindqvist History of Sweden, and on an on. I love the sound of Russian which I am now studying...I even enjoyed the sounds of Korean and Cantonese when studying them. Love the language you are learning and you will do well. +1 I will be hard pressed to find a language that sounds beautiful, now the speaker is another cup of tea! If it's a beautiful woman speaking, I am totally charmed and don't care for which language she's using, hehe. Back to the topic, I am not sure, French and Italian could qualify perhaps. Dutch could qualify for the ugliest language from those I've heard. Sorry to all Dutch people on this board. 1 person has voted this message useful |
