The book is long, audiobook is available in the Internet and it's so famous that there are certainly many translations into different languages. |

Is the audiobook you've used read by a text-to-speech engine or a real person? The version I've heard is TTS and it's hard to listen to for any prolonged period. |

I wondered that as well. I'd like to hear Cien Años de Soledad read by a real person with a nice voice. The TTS technology is getting pretty good though.

At least for Spanish, I can't listen to it (TTS) for more than about 3 sentences in a row. The artificial regularity and lack of intonation grate on me.

I'm not gonna lie, the cells are pretty big.
Enjoy.

Thanks! I just started making a parallel text of this book this morning. I have the paperback book as well and there are some huge paragraphs, I spent a lot of time trying to break them down (which is already done in the mediafire link). Thanks a lot Kubelek!
Also, the audiobook is available in a (low-bitrate) human voice. I don't know if there's a better recording or not. Que lo disfruten.

If you get to the stage where you follow mostly the Spanish text and not the English one, you'll notice that the Spanish text has plenty of typos. Maybe it was OCRed. If you follow it with the audio it's not a problem though.

Kubelek and anyone else who is interested, I cleaned up a lot of spelling mistakes and other things that would have made it difficult to read without the audio. Also, the audio posted above isn't complete, it's missing about 2.5 hours worth of audio (out of about 15). I don't know where you can get the full audio, either as a free download or purchase.

Ask aYa, perhaps she'll help help you with that audio. Thank you for cleaning up the text.
