Israeli football player Shlomi Arbeitman trying to speak English...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uh3oy7cZFDU

This video was a huge viral hit in Israel. Apparently, the football player uses the Hebrew sentence structure while
trying to speak English. The result is jaw dropping.

He's fantastic :D I found his accent nice to hear, and I really love the self-confidence while talking a language that
it's completely unknown for him :D

Einarr's post made me look for this. Does anyone know whether Berbatov's German pronunciation is any better? I mean the British folks are probably more used to various accents.

I think footballers are a great role model for those people who claim that they are "unable to learn a foreign
language"

Football players tend not to be academic types. They simply get packed off to another country and after a few
games a reporter will shove a microphone in their face, expecting them to talk back. They just have to get on
with it.

Luka Modrić speaking Spanish ♥
Maybe not that impressive after 1.5 years in the country, but he mostly just lacked confidence I think, and by now he probably has quite decent passive skills so it helps too.

That's also wrong :)
"Se avessi saputo che fosse rimasto, avrei detto: rimane"
(I have actually a doubt about the possible solution "Se avessi saputo che sarebbe rimasto,
avrei detto: rimane")

Quite funny...3 Italians, 3 different choices..I would have said : se avessi saputo che
sarebbe rimasto, gli avrei detto : rimani!
