Unfortunately, the Mandarin music industry is saturated with boy and girlbands producing bubblegum pop. I haven't listened to Mandarin music for a long time but I think the following are rock musicians: Wu Bai, 五月天(mayday), F.I.R, 信乐团
I don't know how subjectively good any of those are, YouTube or baidu.com are your best sources for finding samples.

I like sodagreen (蘇打綠/苏打绿) and 盧廣仲 although the second isn't so much rock, but it's slightly more like Jason Mraz-ish. sodagreen is quality. reminds me of traci chapman at times though

Hi!
I was wondering where I could find Christmas songs in different languages???? Especially: Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, German, Russian, Polish, Greek, Japanese, Korean and Chinese, Cantonese.... anything. I have already found some Chinese ones (e.g. Jingle Bells in Hakka!), but that´s all I could find. :( And I want to have a Merry Polyglot Christmas! ;) So any idea/link is much appreciated. :)
Thanks,
Cisa

Great idea! I love Christmas songs. Perhaps everyone could post a link to a Christmas song in his/her own language. Here you can find some Christmas songs in Basque. The one every child loves is "Olentzero", because Olentzero is here like Santa Claus, I mean, the one who brings presents to children :). I advise you to listen to the first version (the one which is 613K), although quality is not very good. To help, here are the lyrics.
@Cisa: Any Chistmas song in Hungarian? I want to record a multilingual Christmas CD!!
Edit to point out that I've found some typos in the lyrics: egitero -> egitera, bihor -> bihar, esenita -> eserita, este -> heste

Hey, i like 盧廣仲. Thanks for the suggestion!
Ill suggest some Spanish music
Carlos Baute - Venezuelan pop star. As a big jazz fan, i should be ashamed to like him, but his music is catchy and you learn a lot of romantic phrases! haha
Official Site
Pitingo - Modern soul/flamenco singer. This guy is incredibly good. You'll recognise some of his covers, such as Ayer.
