Granted I don't know very many African songs but Miriam Makeba's 'Pata Pata' always
makes me happy.

'Malaika' is another great African song. This version is sung by Miriam Makeba as well,
even though Swahili is not her native language.

There are also several Swahili gospel songs which I really like, including 'Cha
Kutumaini Sina', 'Neno Litasimama' and 'Nimeonja Pendo Lako'. These are the best
versions I could find online.
Cha Kutumaini Sina: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fW4VcvNjcDI
(Interestingly sung by a Korean/Japanese choir.)
Neno Litasimama: http://angazafamilyradio.org/index.php?
Itemid=62&id=42&option=com_seyret&task=videodirectlink
(An incomplete version.)
Nimeonja Pendo Lako: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7lfELVcY-s
(It looks tacky but not any more so than the average African music video.)
Not really an African song but the chorus is in Kinyarwandan and how often do you get
to hear any Kinyarwandan.

Me descubri esta cancion por escuchando a 'Waka Waka'. Aparentemente, es una cancion
famosa en Africa.
