I deleted Sharedtalk account and got voluntarily banned, so this website won't be a problem any more. Thinking about re-closing this log.

I'll keep it for the time being. Raked in the usual 10-something hours of listening today. Found some great podcasts this week.

I'm exhausted because I'm chronically sleep-deprived, so I decided to sort of take a day off. I'm still doing some listening, but I haven't made any vocabulary flashcards yet. I may make 10-20 of them or so, just so that I did something today, but I don't know whether that's necessary or not. I think that deleting my sharedtalk account was a dumb thing to do, BUT... it prevents me from wasting valuable time. It's like throwing away something you like because it's bad for you. Once I can use voice chat programs responsibly, I'll find a way to either get on it again or find penpals through other means. MSN and the like really doesn't appeal to me any more - talking to a bunch of computer addicts couldn't help me in any way. I do miss one single friend, but I'll check on her in a few weeks, so it's all good. Besides, she was the only one who actually cared to come speak to me when I was on (she wasn't busy with some stupid role-playing game or program).

up up up!

Please help me with my current problem: I'm losing basic English ...

That's all I have to say. I'm utterly shocked by the state of my English and the energy I'm using up just to form a not-so-natural-sounding sentence.
If anyone's got some suggestions, feel free to post either here or on the other thread.

Do something about the sleep-deprivation. When I'm sufficiently sleep-deprived, I can't speak coherent English either.

Thank you for your answer Volte, you do have a point. If you're able to forget coherent English when you're sleep-deprived, even if you're a native speaker, the fact that I'm forgetting English isn't that surprising. I'm trying my very best to get out of this insomnia cycle, but it's really hard - stress doesn't help, sleep-deprivation makes me more stressed out and... you get the picture.
Oh heck, I'll give it a go for the umpteenth time. They should coin the phrase "umpteenth time lucky" - it's make lots of folks feel better!

I know it can be really difficult, but... it's important. Very important.

Good luck being umpteenth time lucky with this!

This is not part of my immersion challenge, but if someone were to look at my daily routine and sleep patterns, he'd probably be like "hm, you do live in the US" LOL. My insomnia's getting worse and worse, so I got two options: either I move out and go to the US because their time is right for me (no jet lag, yay!) or I do something about it.
I reintroduced lots of sucky things into my immersion diet, because I'm no good with some junk food :)
Rap, American talk shows and cartoons may not be the best thing ever but it does cheer me up big time.
