Hi Jenny (what's the meaning of Quabazaa anyway? )..how you doin?
The movie is entertaining so i recommend you getting it and watching it at night with your husband..it's fun.
So you are dreaming about mandarin? it's good sign, it means improvment.
when i dream of chess (i play it all the time) then it means i got better and i reached a new level in the game, i don't know why but i noticed that, so let's hope it's the same in your case.

I wrote something a little longer in my log, but again, thanks for your post! About exploring/dabbling: isn't life interesting that we're all built a little differently? I definitely understand, haha im Prinzip how it's attractive for others, without feeling the same way (On the other hand, I don't like ice cream! Maybe that has something to do with it? :) Actually, that's not entirely true: I very much like reading about a lot of other languages--syntax, morphology, etc. But not actually learning them.
Well, when I was losing motivation...you guys on here helped me! So, thanks again! You can do it, Quabazza! We're here rooting for you.

Trust school in general and exams in particular to make you lose your motivation! I'm not surprised, if you reviewed and studied grammar so much. I hate exams, and honestly as a teacher I think that we do way too many of them and not of the right kind. But hey, that's the may it is... And I guess at university you only get them once or twice a semester, which is all right.
I'm sure it will be better after the exams anyway, so don't worry and good luck! And don't forget, the exams are here to see how well you're learning the language, but you're not learning to pass the exams.
