I bought Rosetta Stone version 3 and the only complaint I have is I think it's too easy. I spoke with someone else and he really struggled with it though.

You found it too easy because there's practically nothing in it and you knew it all already. Your friend found it too hard because he couldn't work out what it was saying to him. This is Rosetta Stone in a nutshell.

Here's an idea: head to Asia, work on an Asian language of your choice, and buy multiple bootleg versions of Rosetta Stone for pennies on the dollar.

Because those pennies would still be wasted... ;-)

Why buy? Downlaod bootlegs then delete (or use), just so you feel like you are protesting RS by stealing their product. Except you wasted your time and bandwidth downloading it.

Compared to how much just one RS course costs that's nothing. And please, a waste of time? It took me three days to download all of RS V3 courses and I don't regret a second of it. Time is irrelevant.

Mine took longer, but I had a ton of torrents going. I ended up deleting yesterday because it took up too much space on my external harddrive and I figured I'd never use it.

I have as well the Software Rosetta Stone - and from all the language learning software I have seen so far it is the best - especially for learning Vocabulary.

But it is completely overpriced and I doubt that you can learn a language only with the software.

Furthermore the possibility to learn Grammar with it is quite limited in my opinion.
