The School of Celtic Studies has an excellent collection of over 10 hours of authentic Irish audio from the Gaeltacht, recorded in Ros Muc, Connemara back in 1964. All audio files are free of charge and can be downloaded for private study. The quality is surprisingly clear (considering it's from the 60s), and there are also corresponding transcripts and vocabulary available to purchase for those dedicated students of Irish amongst you. Go n-éirí on bóthar leat! :)

These further recordings of Irish, spanning six generations of native Irish speakers born between 1850 and 2000, come from the peninsula of Iorras Aithneach on the western edge of the Connemara Gaeltacht in the West of County Galway. They're taken from the fourth volume of a very detailed study published as "The Irish of Iorras Aithneach, County Galway" by Brian Ó Curnáin. In addition to over an hour's worth of audio (although certainly not as good quality or fun as the material in "Caint Ros Muc"), this link also provides accompanying transcriptions and transcripts in PDF format.

Thanks! I'm bookmarking this so I can come back to it on the day I learn Irish (God knows when I'll get to it)
