Wow, FX, your progress is really amazing (and inspiring). Are you doing other language work on a regular basis, or are you focusing primarily on Italian right now? How much time are you spending with reading each week?

Thanks! I am focussing on Italian only right now, I'm not sure how long it takes me, probably 5 to 8 hours a week no more.

I finished another novel by Loriano Macchiavelli. I'm becoming bored of these novels, a new style is needed to keep me going.
Week 1: Alan Altieri
Week 6: Lucarelli #1
Start of 'Goal' in Language Logbooks
Week 7: Lucarelli #2
Week 8: Macchiavelli
Week 9: Sandrone Dazieri
Week 10: Lucarelli #3
Week 11: Valerio Varesi
Week 13: English novel
Week 15: Macchiavelli #2

Just when I promised myself never to read another novel in a foreign language without writing down every single unknown words, I read my first Andrea Camilleri book. Impossible to write down unknown words in this one, half the book is in sicilian and the rest uses very, very special Italian words. But such a pleasure, it restored by trust in Italian giallos. Camilleri's style is so original and rich that you would read it even if there was no plot. This one was 245 pages long and I only wrote down some of the most extravagant words.
