French: 3hrs 30mins (MT Language Builder, vocab [+193]) German: 1hr 10mins (Adjective Endings and Prepositions) Spent most of my time on a sheet of the top 1000 most important French phrases and words. French: 2hrs 15mins (MT Language Builder) German: 1hr 30mins (Deutsche Welle TV) Spent some time watching the Deutsche Welle broadcast on the Internet at my fiancée's house - good to relax with some native materials after doing mainly vocab and exam preparation this week. Week 1 - Progress

French: 1hr 50mins (MT Language Builder, MT Advanced, France24) German: 1hr 30mins (Deutsche Welle TV) Spent some time again watching the Deutsche Welle broadcast and a little bit of France24's broadcast. Had our engagement party tonight, turns out that hosting 120 people doesn't leave much time in the day for language study! French: 3hr 50mins (MT Language Builder, MT Advanced, vocab reviews) German: 2hr 25mins (Vocab reviews, reading extracts) Spent time today doing vocab reviews, and practising my French writing by working through the MT Language Builder transcript. I looked at the English, translated it vocally into French, then attempted to write it down. The ones that I got wrong, either through translation or misspelling, were added to cards in the Leitner system. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

French: 1hr 30mins (MT Advanced) German: 2hr 00mins (Siddharta by Herman Hesse, Deutsche Welle Radio, Letter- writing, Phone call) Further repetition on past and future tenses with Michel. Listened to the Deutsche Welle Radio broadcast online at my fiancée's house, and wrote a long email to a friend, in an attempt to restart a local Stammtisch that dissolved late last year. Also had a phone call in German with the Goethe Institut to arrange my upcoming Zertifikat Deutsch exam. 1 person has voted this message useful |
