Ok teach yourself is as good as ever. I recently watched two Swedish movies on netflix and was able to tell the
diffrence between Danish, so that's a start! My best discovery so far is that Danish pronouns are laughably easy
compared to Iñupiaq and Spanish.

That sounds like a great start! And I am going to order the Teach Yourself Danish series tonight. I will try to catch up with you :) I am concentrating on food words right now. I know from my previous travels that being able to read a menu is really high on my list of priorities.
I have the Berlitz phrasebook which is great for the lists of words, but it doesn't give the et or en with the word :( so I have to look that up in my itty bitty Danish-English dictionary. I am not kidding about the dictionary: Berlitz Pocket is 3"x4" only.
And you are spot-on about those pesky Spanish pronouns. I still struggle with them and I should be beyond that particular struggle!

I tried to order Teach Yourself Danish from Amazon, but it appears to be on backorder. It is showing a lead time of 1 to 3 months so I can't order it :( I'll be living in Denmark within two months.
I'll hunt around for a used version when I get a chance.

Why don't you try abebooks.com? I just checked there and it seems to be in stock, and for very good prices too.
