Hey, nice to see you had fun in Geneva! Buttons is right, though, you are pretty impressive when it comes to language learning, and your French seems very good to me. You didn't make any mistake since last time, though if you want to say "it seemed to work OK", you'd probably say something slightly different, such as "J'ai l'impression que ça n'a pas mal marché", or "on dirait que..."
"plus ou moins bien" is literally "more or less well" Also, although the Swiss (pardon, Vaudois) do speak with intonations, there aren't really any in standard French, only to express strong emotion or in questions (not everyone). So don't worry too much about it if you didn't speak exactly like people in Geneva. Personally I love the Vaudois accent though... The only Arabic country that makes decent movies is Egypt, but only old black and white movies are worth watching..I can't recommend you any though cos i don't watch them, but I can tell you my mother learned big part of Arabic from watching these movies.
