Hi,
My log this year is going to be primarily for German for the first few months because I´m taking a German class at the university here so it will be for sure 3 times a week at least just in the classroom and several hours outside of class of myself studying and reviewing/praticing etc. For the latter part of the year or maybe half way through it´ll be more for Russian and to improve my Russian to a higher level.
I´m not quite sure what my level is at now, I´d say my writing needs the most work but that will be a long work in progress for a long time to come, so easier goals would be to improve my vocabulary and maybe my grammar a bit more. For Russian I´ll be using mostly resources I already bought (books, grammar books, verb books etc), and LingQ for reading and listening for sure. Also random Russian news sites I know of to brush up on reading. I just want to be able to make myself more clearer when speaking I guess. As it is now I have no problems besides the occasional odd word I don´t know, but need more practice with cases I guess.
German I want to be basically fluent I guess, I think this is very realistic and achievable, especially speaking Dutch it helps a lot!
Last year my goal was to be able to hold a conversation in Russian by the end of the year with my friends. I´d say this goal was met because I can now converse no problems in Russian with them, with asking only once and a while for certain words in Russian. Taking the first level of German at the university was just an introduction but I can understand a lot of German now. After this semester I imagine it´ll be twice as much!
If I have time I will dip into Portuguese with Assimil Le Portugais du Brésil.
So.. I´ll try to update this much more than I updated last year. Not everyday because I have a full course load at school (5) so I will be busy enough with that however I´ll update whenever possible.
Success to everyone else participating!

Thanks. I´m not sure if I can say totally fluent or not yet but I know now I have no problems holding a conversation regardless of the topic so, I´d say above intermediate level for sure now.

Well, basic fluency isn't supposed to be perfect.

Today went through a few LingQ conversations, basically reading/listening exercises. On Thursday hopefully will have some more time to go through them again.

Update
I continue to go through LingQ conversations, they are very good resources. Other than that been reading the newspaper to/from the university to home on my mobile.

Wow, long time since last update. I´ve been really busy with school this semester. German classes are going great ich habe sehr viel gelernt und jeden Tag lerne ich immer mehr. I havn´t been able to study too much Russian but I see my girlfriend´s parents usually once a week or every two weeks and only speak in Russian with them so its great there.
Saturday is a friend´s birthday followed by mine on Sunday. I´m gonna attempt to write out a speech for him in Russian see how it goes.
