I just read this thread on AJATT saying that I should quit Swedish (in my case)
Now I escaped relationsträsket and read a little about arbetsliv and it is not bad at all. Being a teacher in China is
probabily a good idea :D
Anyway gonna watch some more Ronny och Ragge and do my Swedish in the oh so slow way.
I am a little pissed off that I am not more commited and play video games instead right now haha. |

The thought did cross my mind, I mean I love it when they say bruvdar instead of
brudar, it sounds more like a latin word for some reason...gonna try hard not to talk
like them though :))

Just like in Twin Peaks I will post some clues on how to study Swedish, if you're just starting (Imagine me as the one-armed man, for those of you who know what I am talking about.) I also followed my own wisdom and did an ok job today. Of course ok is still a little, I am just entering my rythm.

Känner för att skriva av mig lite so here goes nothing, for those who want to learn Swedish better and to improve in it, here is my advice. Things you can have that are good for you and Swedish.
Childish stuff like cartoons and commercials in the beginning.
Read other people, the way they talk on forums, revise and explore.
Watch real life movies.
Comedic sketches and shows from the present.
Have classics at hand when in need.
Listen to a lot of music.
Read good books.
Have a supporting team when you're down.
Solve puzzles and play with words as they were toys.
Be even more playful.
I reached 5500+ words so my goal for now is over. But the journey continues, hopefully for the rest of my life.

Right now I am in the process of finding at least one good Swedish comedian besides the ones I already know. I found Petra Mede. Downloaded some new music that I listened to a long time before and I think it's going to come back in style. The band that is playing the music is called Säkert.

Today I could read a whole instruction book for a remote control that was recently
bought. I compared it with the other languages though and I found 1 major mistake,
instead of writing tända they wrote släcka, so when I went on reading the English version
and tried it their way it worked a little better.

To do list:
Download some more Swedish music
Get a subscription to a really good magazine. Any tips on how to do that?
