downy, while definitely not entirely acoustic, may be the Japanese band most often compared to Radiohead. There's an unseen 5th member during their performances, who's sole purpose is to create a visual environment to accompany the cosmic vibrations of the music. Although the fluid vocal chords often guide the listener above the cacophony of sound, the lyrics are enigmatic if not undecipherable, influenced by late Showa era poetry. Unfortunately they've disbanded.

By no means will their songs help with listening comprehension. I just couldn't pass up the recommendation :))
