Yes, let's hear about how you're doing. Is Assimil still going well for you? What lesson are you on now?

Let us know your progress - even baby steps are worth telling about.

Thank you friends for stepping by with encouraging messages in this totally neglected log!
This hasn't been a bad year at all and I'm all happy with life in general but languagewise it has certainly been a
disappointment, although not as bad as it seems judging from what I've reported here. I had a promising beginning
and Q1 went well enough with great team work and support from my fellow cosmonauts. 6wc, skype and the
common Sputnik thread were a great help.
I know I kept a paper log somewhere but I haven't been able to find it now. The 6wc stats amount to around 135
hours so far. By far the best was the one for Q1, after that my language studying has been very limited.
If I should list some progress in Russian I could at least mention the fact that I finished the passive phase of Assimil,
though I didn't get past lesson 21 of the active phase. And I did stick to do doing one lesson a day consistently for a
considerable number of weeks, thereby proving to myself that it can be done!
There's no denying that I'll have to transfer most of my goals into 2013, but hey, there are a few weeks remaining of
this year so something can still be achieved. Right now I'm struggling with Proust!
I will return with a more thorough evaluation of 2012.
