Just found Lexipedia.
It allows you to see a tree of connected words in a language of your choice among English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch and Italian.
This seems to be a great tool for a number of things. Haven't yet explored all of its possibilities, but if more people use it, maybe we'll faster see how useful it is.
Since it comes from a company, not an University or some collective initiative, I think it may soon not be free anymore.
