..It's alive and kicking?
You can already register for January 2015.
This thread is certainly barely alive, not sure why.

Registration is open for the 2-week challenge in the second half of March.
I'm going for German and Swedish, and part of me wants to add Dutch as well. Not sure. Or maybe even English, these would still be three Germanic languages ;D

I might consider joining in June again, since I'm busy with my thesis now.

I also need to get my Spanish and Japanese up to scratch first, since joining with
German isn't very sportsmanlike, considering the fact that I can read German almost
just as easily as English and Norwegian. Although I'll never stand a chance against
those playing Japanese computer games 12 hours a day, even if I joined with German :p

EDIT:

Isn't it a bit unfair to join with languages you already speak at a C1/C2 level? Just
like other language challenges, the purpose was to improve comprehension and
vocabulary in slightly weaker languages rather than reading in languages you already
master...

There's no rule against that though. At least one person was even allowed to participate with their secondary native language. I've actually read extremely few books in English and I don't really enjoy it all that much. I'll also probably try to read the Canterbury Tales (in the original) if I sign up with English.

I wanted to join Tadoku but currently, Hungarian is not on the list of languages.

You can ask @lordsilent to add it. He's already had to add Finnish, Belarusian and Croatian because of me :D

The June round is on!
I signed up with English again, another try to read the Canterbury Tales. Already started, at least.
I also picked Croatian because of the 6WC and Italian because there's so much I wanna read in it. (including Dante, also read some pages already)

I keep sighing about these books in Swedish but honestly it stands no chance against these languages. Might do it in August along with something like Belarusian and Dutch...

I signed up with German and Swedish. Wish I'd signed up with French, too, as reading in
French is a massive chore, but I'm already struggling to keep the balance, so it's
probably for the best.
