liddytime,
ok :) "გამოიყურება" means "it looks", so it doesn't make sense.
I will check it out - ვსინჯავ.

I watched a little bit of Georgian TV and was able to pick out a stray word every few
sentences. Do any of you
out there know any good links for Georgian TV? All the ones I have seem to freeze every
time I try to access them!

You can watch a live stream of Rustavi 2. http://www.rustavi2.com/
There's a thing on the left that says live. Also you can change it to English in the
top right corner if you need to. :)

Love it!! Reminds me of the illuminating observation I heard about Hebrew years ago
(delivered at top speed, for
maximum effect):
Hebrew: the language where "me" is who, "who" is he, and "he" is she. |

And don't forget: if you say "boy," a girl will come. ;)

Just watching a subtitled film with Nicholas Cage. If only I could read the script faster, I'd benefit a lot from comparing speech with subtitles!

If you go to the TED website here there are a few videos
with Georgian subtitles. Some of the topics are really interesting, some not so much,
but they are not too long and you can pause the videos whenever you want to compare what
has just been said with what is written on the screen. I found this quite useful for
figuring out how Georgian sentences are structured, and if you put your mind to it I
think you could really do a lot of work with this.
By the way, liddy, since we've all invaded your log, how is your Georgian going?? I'm
guessing you're spending so many hours enthralled with this magical language that you
don't even have time to update.

Click on Translations at the top of the homepage, then choose Georgian from Select
