Now since 100 pages = 1 book, I've finally decided that I'd also like to do the Advanced
Super Challenge for English. I think my level is somewhere above B2 and would really want
to make some improvements. So, please count me in. I'll be watching 200 films and reading
200 books in English besides the Super Challenge. Yay! :)

Welcome! I have added you to the List of participants. Happy to have you with us! The thing about the Avanced Super Challenge is that since you can take any language at any level, you can register material you were going to watch anyway. Personally I usually watch a ton of English, but since I have managed to get hold of a lot of American series dubbed into French, I can watch French, which is also of benefit to my family.

Sooo. I am feeling more than a bit unintellectual doing endless amounts of American series dubbed into French, when so many others are doing French classics, but like I have said before - I am governed by a 16 year old here.

I was surprized to see the enormous difference from one series to another. 90201 had a fairly slow pace - I realize now. Wathcing Castle is like being in a shooting field, with rapid fire coming your way.

The good thing is that I have listened to so much French that I am at the brink of speaking to people around me in French every 5 minutes. The down side is that most of my new vocabulary relates to dating, liking someone, moving on...

28 out of 200 films is not so bad for the first month. I have also read "Le Petit Prince", but that just counts as half a bok, so I need to read it once more to actually make it count.

How are the rest of you doing?

As I promised on the other thread, I join this challenge for Spanish.
I've already seen enormous progress since I started to read Spanish literature (in particular from Latin America) and now I'm going to accelerate this.

200 books is realistic with the read-list I have currently. 200 movies is more difficult because I'm basically a movie lover and I don't want to force myself to see telenovelas de muy baja calidad. But I'll try to reach those two targets.

And I start with:
Reading001: Cuentos de amor, de locura y de muerte - Horacio Quiroga (193pages)
