Sorry Juju, as Jeffers said I meant the left brain - right brain theory when applied to
learning techniques is at worst snake oil, not TPR which, I have only no practical
experience of, but it seems like it might have some good points to it. I apologise if
there was any ambiguity.
Looking through linguistics journals, however, it it seems that the audiolingual method
is the most studied by qualified academics. Interestingly, the general view I detect in
applied linguistics (such as the Pennsylvania project) is that method is not that great
a factor in language learning and that good interaction between teacher and students
counts for much more. Although, I should say that I am not a linguistics specialist,
and this is my sense impression from flicking though journals in the library.

The results obtained by the TPR and the AUA of Bangkok are impressive. In fact, there is
nothing better.
This 2 methods are based on the left brain/right brain theory that "many of you" don't
believe.
This is your choice, I respect it.
