Sorry Juju, as Jeffers said I meant the left brain - right brain theory when applied to
learning techniques is at worst snake oil, not TPR which, I have only no practical experience of, but it seems like it might have some good points to it. I apologise if there was any ambiguity. Looking through linguistics journals, however, it it seems that the audiolingual method is the most studied by qualified academics. Interestingly, the general view I detect in applied linguistics (such as the Pennsylvania project) is that method is not that great a factor in language learning and that good interaction between teacher and students counts for much more. Although, I should say that I am not a linguistics specialist, and this is my sense impression from flicking though journals in the library. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |

The results obtained by the TPR and the AUA of Bangkok are impressive. In fact, there is
