Hahahahaha. I have been having trouble putting the "face to the voice" so to speak. But
I'm still sticking with Swedish (even though I have no Swedish family)!!! It's just the
one I feel closest to!
(Or actually, I am going to do the route richard took and go Swedish --> Icelandic...
eventually... hehehe)
I can also attest to the fact Cristina speaks English very well. I never thought of her
as having any particular accent other than that it sounds like it's not from any of the
traditional anglophone countries. (I'd also say she speaks French and German very well,
but who am I to comment with my pitiful level in either of those hehe)

Interesting video but thinking that it would not be in English I activated the closed captions on Youtube and could not stop laughing at the
subtitles. This must be automatically generated subtitles by Youtube. I think they need to work a bit harder on the English
comprehension capabilities of the software. Maybe it should join the Super Challenge.
Here is a partial transcript of the video according to YouTube:
seven-year being attacked by resist
in christina's guardian
at record pool where no smokehouse
and she's got some peaceful racist
but not to fix the richest
last november two thousand carries the rose
appetite is there a realistic addresses
and I'm getting better at inspire raises kitchen
but while we're in no way that one of
the questions I always get might completely face the page
annual saved home videos as well
financing for the pilot's seat on that
so that in an excellent which language but you can't fool
if you were trying to learn the scandinavian and could you get the
danish norwegian swedish
to be quite frank it doesn't really matter
the important thing is if you have to start masturbation anyone
three languages held up for that
if you have a swedish grandma or you have a danish friend go for that
if you have here deeply connection to light a match
i would actually go for the weekend
and I don't say that because I have to excuse
but because he lied to the side of the middle ground communication
the vocabulary not reaching is very very close to date
makes it's almost identical
the danes had their own pronunciation though which is very different from that we've seen snatching
very special very unique pronunciation
almost the same cattle
now sweetest is also easy for us because accidents and waves speaking is very simple
we have no problems with their pronunciation

if you don't know what to choose i'd take a region they get it if you
have a very strong motivation for one of the languages I'll just go with that

nospam light experience
i'm in swedish i it's reaching a burst into tears
and the reason i chose three dash was because i could do i send it
and it's based on the quiz to be swedish saying that that's how i a treaty

but um but our extended liking swedish is well
they worked out well
hands i found that in norway as always been able to communicate
to prevent problems or reading newspaper

and when you do if you do get a little bit exposure
until probably striptease

it was cooking. (translation: you're most welcome)
As difficult as it is to achieve good listening comprehension, it is obviously even more challenging to train a computer to understand spoken
language. I can imagine a manager asking "How's that Closed Caption software going?", "Its ready to release sir, still makes a few mistakes,
nothing serious".

I almost squirted my tea on the keyboard I laughed so hard. That's one of the best translations I've ever seen.
I thought the video was great too except that it got quieter and quieter until I just had to give up.
Your English was really great, Cristina. Most of the time you didn't have any accent at all. I think your accent is very neutral. So no one would think you came from any specific place, but they could easily think you were a native speaker. I did pick up a bit of a Norwegian accent now and then, but that's only because I've lived here so long that I know what to listen for. Your English is definitely much better than my Norwegian.

Welcome Cristina on You Tube! Nice to see you in person in your beautiful rose garden talking to Richard! And Richard, you have the privilege to travel to all kinds of countries. I envy all people who can do that! I would so much want to travel and I will never be able in my life, as my position on the job market is getting more and more difficult. I have watched Crisitna's video with lots of pleasure! See my coment on You Tube as well.
Kind regards,
Fasulye

Awesome video, Cristina! I already commented on Youtube, but I must congratulate you here as well =)
Do you plan on recording a multilingual video just like our other polyglot friends? I'd love to watch that!
