I have found by chance excellent source of news with exact the same text in several languages.
presseurop (cs, de, en, es, fr, it, nl, pl, pt, ro)
euranet, 21 languages
euronews, > 10 languages
The last one has radio and podcasts as well.

Thanks very much. I was aware of euronews but not the other two. My technique with these kinds of resources is to read an article in my native language English, then in my strongest second language, then my second strongest, etc. So the weakest gets the benefit of the news item already being very familiar.
These are high quality multilingual, parallel news sites. Thanks again.

I also was aware of euronews, as it's the only one I know of that has a Turkish
language option. It's helped a lot.
Does anyone know of any other site that has both Turkish and English? I'm aware of
Hürriyet, which has both Turkish and English sites, but the articles on each site don't
always coincide.
I like the fact that euronews has completely duplicated their articles and layout in
several languages, making it easier to compare, and would love to find other similar
sites.
R.

For the Balkans, there's also SEtimes. They offer parallel
news articles about the Balkans in Albanian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Croatian, English,
Greek, Macedonian, Serbian, Romanian and Turkish.

Thanks a lot!
Presseurop has also a free app for iPhone that seems very interesting.
