Doesn't look like Cristina thinks much of either of your efforts, does she? ;) |

Patuco, I don't know who you are (and I really don't care), but please don't disrespect me like that.

@tarvos
I'm not too sure on the grammar there, but maybe someone else who reads this might feel free to jump in. I'm really impressed you're learning Breton by the way! I've read it's close to Cornish and Welsh, and I enjoyed listening to a little bit on tv earlier this year for the first time - I think it was on "France 3 Breizh" (which is still in my bookmarks - hooray!). Good luck with the "Le Breton sans peine", I look forward to hearing how you get on with the materials.

Hey there I have been wondering how you were doing. Watch out for that waterfront property. I always loved living by the water but just lost my home to the east coast hurricane. I look forward to reading your entries (when I have regular internet access again).

@meramarina
So sorry to hear about your home, I was really worrying about you, especially after I saw the videos and images in the news. I thought I'd be in a somewhat similar position last weekend when the tsunami was supposed to hit us hard, so I can only half imagine the devastation the hurricane's caused. I hope you and the local community pull through this crisis together, and that they start to repair and switch everything back on soon. In the meantime, it's good to hear that you have a place to stay temporarily, and I think it's commendable that you're still studying "Polish by Flashlight" through all this!

Thanks, I'm not really able to study right now, It's just been too much. I did find my Polish notes soaked in the floodwater, though.

Sorry! I meant this is one of the only three 10 languages at the same time experiments I have seen which are
likely to succeed. :-)
I am devastated that my friendly remark to Teango might have caused any distress for two brilliant women
that I admire a lot. That was soooo not my intention. Put it down to pre-senility on my part.

On a completely unrelated note, I finally found a florist a bit further out from where I live that sells roses.
They're imported all the way from Venezuela, but the downside is that each one costs $8 *ouch*, so I could
only afford one for my wife on a GA's salary! I thought of your garden of beautiful roses with all the amazing
varieties, and felt a sudden longing to visit Norway... |

You are welcome any time( preferably in June/July when the roses are actually in bloom). ! This summer I
had two people from the forum staying with me, and one over for dinner a couple of times, so my husband is
getting used to the drill. I cannot imagine anyone I would rather have as my guest! I also look forward to
meeting your wife who conveniently enough is a native speaker of the language I am most keen on learning.
:-) You could fill your arms with bouquets of beautiful scented roses for her.
