I look forward to reading about your experiences or observations about it. Already in my browsing of the language, the solitary gear in my brain is turning furiously as it reconciles what I observe in Turkish with what I've seen in the structurally comparable Uralic languages :-)

Though I've studied Turkish before I've finally decided to start from scratch with a new book. It's "Praktisches Lehrbuch Türkisch" by Langenscheidt (15 chapters) and it's supposed to take you to level B1 - let's see about that.
I haven't decided yet what additional material to use, so if you have any suggestions don't hesitate to tell me.

So I'm on chapter 1 now of Langenscheidt's "Praktisches Lehrbuch Türkisch".
Many things I already know but it's good to have some repetition and there's also some new vocabulary.

If you want some comments about other textbooks and courses for Turkish, here're some links:

For more advanced material suitable for learning or strategy after having passed the stage of a total beginner, contact hrhenry and daristani. Their advice has been helpful as I've preparing myself to start learning Turkish.
