My new goal is to learn Norwegian in 2013. I have absolutely no previous experience in the language but I've heard
it's not that difficult for English speakers and I recognize some words as being related to German. I'm not sure how
far I'll get but since my goal is to to university there, I'm going to go as far as I can in the time I've got.

Norwegian is a great language! I personally did not choose it as my Scandinavian language
- I opted for Swedish instead - but it's still a great language!
Good luck!

When will you go to Norway and which university shall it be? I really enjoyed my time at UiO.
Norwegian really is easy to learn, especially with an English and German background.

At the end of my senior year (2014) I'm hoping to get accepted into a Folk School so that I can get immersion
experience

Actually, sudden new plan (of course things changed on the day I managed to get around to posting this),
Norwegian has just become my secondary TAC language because there is an awesome opportunity available to me
that requires Arabic. I'm not sure if this will work out but if it's going to, Arabic is a must so I'm going to pursue this
for now. Norwegian is still there but for the next 6 months Arabic just became the priority new language.

Well, good luck with your Norwegian studies! Arabic is also an awesome language, but of course a lot more difficult.

Folk high school?
There were three foreign students at the one I went to last year, of whom two didn't
speak any Norwegian before
they arrived. They did actually speak it very well at the end of the year.
