Today I've been working more on learning the Cyrillic alphabet. Some of the letters are so different! I would like to find resources that have instructions for writing the alphabet, because that would help me learn it.

I struggled a lot with the alphabet too (in fact I partly still do :-) The best resource I know is "Teach Yourelf Russian Script" It is a life savior.

Have you already tried out youtube to find such instructions? I would strongly recommend you to do so because
there is a lot of helpful stuff! :)

Try Langintro, it teaches alphabets in a
fun way. That was my source and it worked well, in case you don't want to spend on Ty
Russian Script.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've started looking at Langintro, and I'll probably look into purchasing the Teach Yourself Russian Script book.

I suggest that in addition to any textual instruction either from books or websites you also have a look at some videos in which native speakers write the letters down by hand. I found this to be really helpful and put links to a number of such videos in an earlier post of mine:
Learning Russian Script

Since I want to improve my Spanish this year, I watched about 30 minutes of TV in Spanish earlier. I'm glad that I understood some of it, but I'm still not used to how fast they speak.
