Several months ago... or maybe even more than a year ago... There was a tentative idea of creating Skype learning groups, where users of our forum, learning certain languages, would be able to help the others or, at least, motivate each other.
The idea haven't run away from my mind after so many months, thus, I think it's worth trying if there would be any eager persons. To be honest, I don't know how EXACTLY would it look like. I can only say, that I'd be pleased to be a moderator of the Polish group :D
Any ideas, suggestions, nitty-gritty, eager persons to contribute?

I'd love to practice my languages with other forum members! I don't have any particularly practical ideas though... i
guess it's just like a virtual Meet-up? We could have groups like "intermediate Spanish" and set times and just see
who shows up i guess.

I'd certainly be interested in this, but I'm not sure how realistic it is with timezone differences and busy lifestyles. Worth a try though, and I'm always happy to talk to people! I think the TAC Russian team last year managed to do some Skype chats.

And this year once or twice too. Usually I was the one rounding people up to do it.

For the most popular languages can be created two or even three groups, depending on the place of living. With the less learned ones... Well, with a good will something can be managed.
Now I can officially confirm - if someone would like to, I can start with moderating Polish group from October :)

I'd be up for an HTLAL Skype meetup! Put me on the list! :-)
We started to do this for the TAC Viking group on Sundays but it kind of fizzled out....

There was some talk early on that Team Sparta TAC 2013 would do this, but that team seems
to have withered. But if anyone wants to do this for Greek, I'd be game.

Ok, the most problematic thing seems to be our motivation. Still, better than the reluctance :D
