Quasi significa: "almost/nearly/approximate but not quite exactly" in inglese, oppure "casi" nello spagnolo.

Repeating the word "quasi" like you are asking, "quasi quasi" intensifies the meaning of the single word.
Correction made by me. I will avoid answering questions about "Italiano" non being Italian at all. Sorry :( ;)
I'm reading "La Solitudine .." in Italiano e mi piace un granché, and I love it!

Non intensifica un bel niente, nessuno direbbe mai "è quasi quasi più grande" o cose del genere. "Quasi quasi" lo si vede quasi (lol) esclusivamente in questi contesti:
- Che ne dici di un gelato?
- Quasi quasi... (you're tempting me / why not)
- Quasi quasi compro quel vestito. (I'm tempted to buy that dress)

Sinceramente credo che "piccolo piccolo" sia uno dei pochi esempi validi, se non l'unico. Non me ne vengono in mente altri.
