Hi all,
I will be in Paris for a few days soon. Obviously, the majority of my free time will be
spent on site-seeing. However, are there any well-known used bookstores worth visiting? I
was thinking it would be cool if I found a bunch of Assimil courses in the French base to
snag for a song.

I think that there is an Assimil store near Le Palace des Elysées, on
11 Rue des Pyramides

Try Gibert Jeune surrounding the Fontaine Saint-Michel (Left Bank right across from Notre Dame). The store is actually made up of a huge series of annexes all with yellow awnings - can't miss it. Facing the fountain, the foreign language annex will be on your right. They sell new and used books (the used will have stickers on the spines). French literature/fiction is across the street (on the top floor I believe). A bit further down Boulevard Saint-Michel is Gibert Joesph, which though smaller, has a pretty good language section as well. Have fun and bring an extra suitcase!

Attica on Boulevard Richard Lenoir is a good language bookshop. I had a look in last time I was in Paris. I don't remember if they had used books though, but they had a good selection of Assimil and all the rest, as well as various foreign-language books and DVDs.
