Hi guys,
I'm interested in challenges and in team Skype sessions.
Spanish is my main target right now until my travel in Spain and the rest is laying in a
second level (French) or in a third (Dutch, Norwegian).
I can't wait to speak Spanish with you guys.

Maybe we should brainstorm some challenges and see where it takes us! Here are some ideas for challenges:
- write a short introductory paragraph en español (followed by English translation)
- connect with a team member via Skype (I'm available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and *maybe*
Saturday mornings, Eastern Time)
- share a Spanish song that you've translated into English
- write a balanced review of a resource that you're using (or have used in the past)
- review a book/movie/TV show
- try out a how-to video on YouTube, en español
- find and try out a recipe written in Spanish
- talk to X number of strangers in a month and report back here (might not be feasible for everyone - including
me!)
- make a list of X number of slang words, expressions or idioms that you come across in your learning
- choose a grammar point that's giving you a hard time, mine one of your resources for example sentences, and
write an explanation of the grammar point for your fellow TAC-ers (they say that the best way to learn something is
to try to teach it!)
- go to a Tapas or Mexican restaurant and order/interact in Spanish
Any other ideas?
(Also...not to be a broken record...but are we just going to stick with "Team Spanish" for our name? I'm ok with that
if it's what everyone else wants, but it's a bit dull!)

Welll
I proposed Team Tapas and at least another person agreed :D
Since nobody proposed anything else that should win :P
I would propose as a challenge to do at least 3 Spanish conversations, via Skype,
challenge that I already concluded last week since I did 4 :D
About me, I'm available when I'm available (so if anyone whants to Skype with me has to
tell me when he/she's available and try to make the two things matching.
My timezone is UTC+1 (Amsterdam time).
Another challenge can be to watch 10 youtube videos and link them here.

I liked Lobos from last year but Tapas is also good! Short and catchy is the way to go I think.

Another possible challenge activity is translation. The length and difficulty of the text to be translated can be easily adapted to one's level.
As for the name, both Team Lobos and Tapas are fine by me :)

Your missing capitain is back! And hoping you all have been working on Spanish harder
than I have, as Spanish had to make more space for French. From what I've already read
in some logs (and will read the rest soon), you are making nice progress. But we
should probably bring some life to the team as a whole. Have you in the end created
that facebook group? I couldn't find it. I prefer this log but if that is a medium
everyone's been following, I should at least read it.
Thanks for all the great ideas, we'll surely use them. But it might be a bit late for
the name? If not, I like Tapas.
I think we could start with a late February double challenge, to "catch up". But no
worries, nothing too excessive.
!!First, as Stelle has proposed: An introduction in Spanish. Content is up to you, how
long or complicated it will be is your choice, depending on your level as well.
Please, let's give each other honest corrections in a kind form. I hope I don't even
need to ask for that. I'll be grateful for everything you catch in my writing!
!!Second: Let's all use the last ten days of the month to get over an obstacle we've
been postponing for far too long. It may be a difficult grammar point, a lesson in
your course you just couldn't get through, finally watching a movie, finishing a book
last fifty pages of which you've been postponing, whatever we have been fleeing from
with excuses.
My introduction:
Hola, me llamo Tereza pero me conoceis como Cavesa. Me gusta muchisimo la lengua
espanola. Ya he visitado Espana algunas veces y mi region preferido es Asturias. No
tengo demasiado tengo libre porque estudio medicina y soy perezosa. No estoy segura de
mi level de espanol pero lo que se, es que quiero aprender mucho mas y hablar un dia
sin problemas.
My obstacle to overcome in during the next few days:
I will finish an old course I started eight years ago (A Czech based course called
Fiesta 1). Last two lessons to go. And I will put all the vocabulary to Anki.
